Expectant Couple Killed In Hit-And-Run Apr. 1, 2008
HOUSTON -- An expectant couple was killed in a hit-and-run as they walked home from a north Harris County store, KPRC Local 2 reported Monday.
Harris County sheriff's deputies said a passer-by found Christopher Allan Walker and Jennifer Lynn Taylor dead in a ditch in the 21000 block of East Hardy Road on Saturday morning.
"I think I've been through every stage," said Annette Taylor, Jennifer Taylor's mother. "I've been mad and crying."
Relatives said Jennifer Taylor was four months pregnant with a baby boy.
"They always walked down here," friend Jennifer Fillmore said. "Most of the time I would take them when I saw them walking. I saw them Friday night and I didn't stop. I was in a hurry and I kept going. I just honked and said I'd see them later."
Investigators said they found debris from a vehicle near the bodies, but have not released any information as to what type of vehicle hit the couple.
"If you haven't seen anything, then you might know someone who has serious damage on their car," Annette Taylor said. "Both of them were about 200 pounds each."
Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
